Behind The Mist Ep 5

She's so happy since she wore the necklace, she feels like flying up in the air and wishes never to land. Everything surrounding her is looking beautiful to her. She can breath her happiness to the depths as if she has gotten a hidden treasure. She wants to tell the whole world that she's in love, she's neither shy nor confused, rather she's confident; confident that she has gotten the perfect love, the man created for her only, the man who loves her boundlessly and will always do, the love that will always be there for her, the love that no one can snatch from her, the love that is not only for her but for her family also, the love that honors her prestige, the love that is none other than Aazam.

Her past thoughts and perceptions about Aazam have totally changed now. Apart from all his past activities and hobbies, she has decided to move on- with all his vices and virtues because love needs no explanation, she thinks. She has been rational while dealing with such sentiments but now after her prudent judgement she has got to the conclusion that her love bears no flaw, or if it even does, so according to her, one should love a person with all its vices and virtues. She's confident now that she has not made any hasty judgement and believes also that what's hers can not stay far away from her.

Fahad is standing in the corridor and is busy in reading a book in his hand.

"Fahad..!", he listens someone calling him, he raises his head from the book and sees Sara coming to him. He closes his book and give a smile to her.

She comes next to him and they both exchange greetings.

"Have you seen Jiya today?", Sara asks Fahad.

"Mmmm... No, I've not seen her today?", says Fahad looking around him and recalling.

"Why are you asking about her? You should better know whether she's here or not today.. I'm noticing something now a days..", he adds.

"What?", asks Sara with questioning eyes.

Fahad smiles and says shuddering, " I've noticed many changes in you and the first one is your ignorance towards your friends... ". She looks continuously at her face to her reaction but she too gives him the same stare with a mulish smile. When Fahad gets no answer from her he asks," Don't you think so??"

"No..", she answers shuddering. " I've been like this for always, nothing has changed in me..", she adds rejecting his idea.

"OK... So...", Fahad can't continue his words as his eyes fall upon a shimmery necklace around her neck and his eyes also start shimmering with it.

Sara notices his eyes and then puts her hand on her necklace and starts smiling proudly, she holds it and shows it to Fahad. " How's it?", she asks Fahad.

"It's beautiful..", Fahad exclaims and his eyes are persistently on her necklace.
"
And how am I looking wearing it???", Asks Sara looking into his eyes.

Fahad suddenly changes his sight and finds her eyes into his. He gets nervous for a while and then gathers himself to speak.

"Aaah.. Hmm. ... of course.. aaa....you too..hmm..", he says while looking here and there and coercing himself to smile so as to hide his nervousness.

"Heyy... Come on.. I don't have any wrong intention.. Fahad... Don't be nervous..", she says while laughing.

"Aaaa..I'm not nervous..... Not at all...", he tries to be confident.

"OK, leave it.. By the way I was asking for Jiya because I have to tell her something.", she says while cuddling her necklace.

"What?", Fahad says.

"Mmm.. First tell me genuinely, how's it??", she asks again.

"It's genuinely beautiful Miss Sara, now what do want to hear??", he says irritatingly.

"Have you ever thought that Aazam could have such a graceful taste while choosing jewellery??", she asks him excitingly.

"What???", Fahad gets astonished for a while. "You mean Aazam has gifted you this??", he adds pointing to her necklace.

"But I didn't say that I have been gifted this necklace..", she wonders how Fahad knows about this.

" Ooh Sara ... It's obvious from your behavior now  that you have been gifted this but, Aazam..", before he completes his words Sara interrupts him.

"Fahad I'm sure you won't believe because it's really beautiful.", she utters hastily.

"Yea.. It's really difficult to believe Sara..", Fahad says looking into her eyes now and he's not nervous this time but looks contented rather.

"Aaaa.. Fahad I want to say that don't discuss it with Aazam. I don't know he'll like me to discuss him with someone.. You know..", now Fahad interrupts her and says, "No, I'll not mention it, you don't worry.. "

And there Jiya comes and takes Sara with her. Sara goes readily because she's to make her best friend aware that what she has got. But before Sara can share anything Jiya informs her that Aazam is looking for her. Sara doesn't pay heed to what she has to share with her friend because now she's on the way to Aazam.
                                                    ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

She has checked everywhere she can to find where Aazam is when finally he finds him sitting under a thick tree in the garden far away from the hustle bustle of the university. She steps forwards vastly to reach to him but her steps slow down when she gets Aazam's glance on her. Her heart is beating to its fullest and she's having deep breaths. The same may be the case with Aazam too but visibly he's just wearing a nervous smile...

                                                     :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The mist starts dissolving now and gradually he's able to feel, see, hear and speak. That's his sweat he feels flowing on his body.As soon as the mist disappears he sees the wall in front of him painted with blood red color or rather with the blood itself. His hands are still in a position of shooting onwards the man before him, but the difference is that the man is lying on the floor now with eyes ready to burst out of his skull and with blood stains scattered all around him. Probably he shot him dead in head and perhaps the extreme of pain let the man's eyes look like bursting out. As his senses come to be normal, he's able to feel the sweet smell of fresh and hot blood mixed with the smell of gun powder and its smoke.

The sight is unbearable for him now his hands again start shivering and let the gun fall down. His legs unconsciously step backward but the wall on his back supports him. He wipes his sweating forehead with his shivering hand and casts a glance upon both of his hands and then on the dead body before him and repeats this action several times. He feels something coming out from his stomach into his mouth and suffers from severe nausea at the moment and at once runs out of the room and starts vomiting under a tree in the backyard. For a few moments he feels his legs lifeless.
He stumbles and gives himself the support of the tree and looks up and has a sight of its waving branches. He takes a deep breath and sits down. He hides his face with his hands and starts weeping bitterly as he gets a tap on his shoulder. He turns to see and finds the same man standing there who enforced him to shoot the man dead. The man is smiling and he's hating his smile.

"Be strong and brave... Never let anything make you shed tears.. You've done it well. One day you'll be proud of this. Come on now it's OK. You've not done anything wrong.", says the man with pride.

The boy hears loud laughter coming out of the room and stands up and washes his hands from a tap. He wants to clean his hands but visibly his hands are already clear, he rubs them very fast and tightly as he wants them as clear as were before the gunshot. But his eyes are shedding continuously as if they know that nothing now can be undone, and that invisible stain will not be cleaned by any hand wash..

That's the first time he faced and even done something like this.
